Peter Hetherington Review

Description: Peter was appointed CEO of IG Group in December 2015. He joined the company as a graduate trainee in 1994. In 1999, he became head of financial dealing and in 2003 he joined the Board following his appointment as Chief Operating Officer. Within that role, Peter was responsible for IT as the company principally became an online business. His role developed to encompass the leadership of the sales and marketing functions.

 

Prior to joining IG, Peter was an officer in the Royal Navy. He graduated from Nottingham University with a degree in economics, and from the London Business School with a masters in finance.

Peter’s considerable experience, built over 20 years in the business, has been invaluable to the Group’s development.
