Hotspot, the ECN marketplace owned by BATS Global Markets, Inc. (BATS:BATS), saw little change in daily FX volumes in April 2016, as the average daily volumes amounted to $25.6 billion, up 0.4% from the level of $25.5 billion per day seen in March 2016.
In annual terms, the comparison was gloomier, as the April 2016 ADV fell 10% from the result of $28.4 billion registered in April 2015.
The strongest day for trading in April 2016 was April 7th ($33.2 billion in turnover), whereas the lowest daily volumes ($19.5 billion) for the month were registered on April 15th.
