As first reported Global FX broker Alpari has reported its best ever month in April, with total group volumes coming in at $245 billion — eclipsing Alpari’s March volume of $238 billion and February’s $237 billion. These stellar results come during a month when we have seen trading volume records at other leading FX firms including FXCM, GMO Click, and Monex Japan.
We don’t have the breakdowns yet in terms of Russia vs. Rest-of-World volumes at Alpari for the month. But based on previous experience (see graph below), Russia has lately accounted for more than half of the group’s volumes — as much as 59% in March. We’ll bring the figures to you when we get them.
